While many games didn't score well with reviewers they still managed to find a way into the wrestling fan's hearts. For starters, balance issues have been addressed, like players spamming reversals. However, once you go into some of the deeper gameplay mechanics, some clear improvements begin to show. As a result, many fans will take what they can get just so they could play something different. Veterans of WWE 2K15 will feel like little has changed in terms of overall gameplay when it comes to WWE 2K16.
